PRESS RELEASE
43rd Parallel and the CDC partner to create AdvenaMedicus:
the first multi-cultural/multilingual tool for medical professionals
Boston, MA - 17 July 2002 - 43rd Parallel,
LLC, announced today a partnership with the Atlanta-based
Centers for Disease Control to create AdvenaMedicus as a solution
to medical communications and hospital administration problems
associated with extra-lingual patients. 43rd Parallel, with
extensive experience in managing large-scale projects in multiple
languages with multiple code-pages, and the CDC, as the primary
proponent of national healthcare standards, will release version
1.0 in March of 2003.
AdvenaMedicus has both administrative
and communications components that integrate with extensive
databases managed by 43rd Parallel. While no software can
or should replace the relationship between physician and
patient, AdvenaMedicus assists in basic foreign-language
communications for admissions, nursing, patient records,
pharmacy, legal, billing, and other key aspects of daily
operations. |
